CAR PARKING

FREE car parking on the site.

ACCESS to car parks will be given from stewards to maintain a steady flow of traffic.

Tickets are scanned on entering the car park (please have your tickets ready).

Stewards will direct you to a parking space.

BLUE BADGE holders may park in the designated areas (please follow the signs).

PASSENGER DROP OFF

There is a drop off/pick up point at Betley Village Hall ONLY. There is no parking at the village hall.

Please do NOT ENTER the car parks if you are dropping passengers of as this causes congestion both on the road and on the site and you will have to wait for access to leave.

The closest train station is Crewe which is approximately six miles away. There is a taxi rank close to the train station and a bus stop outside the railway station please check bus times prior to booking train tickets as the service is hourly.

In line with the UK Government Covid 19 advice for England regarding outdoor events during the Covid – 19 Pandemic as updated 4th October 2021

The event committee wish to inform attendees to this event of the following Covid-19 safety precautions.

  • A Covid-19 and event health risk assessment has been undertaken,
  • Please consider your travel arrangements carefully taking into account age and any health conditions or vulnerabilities.
  • Follow any local relevant guidance on travel.
  • Check for symptoms of COVID-19(a high temperature, new and persistent cough, or a loss of/change in sense of taste or smell) before travelling to the event. Spectators are
  • informed that if they, or anyone they live with, have one or more of these symptoms (even if they are mild) they should not attend, and should follow the UK guidance on testing and self-isolation.
  • Do not attend the event if you need to self-isolate,for example because you have been asked to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace, are required to isolate after travel, or because you are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Please adhere to any relevant COVID-19 safety measures in place at the event,including observing directions given by stewards, washing / cleansing hands utilising the facilities at the toilets on site.
  • Alcohol and is not permitted on site and possession of such may lead to exclusion from the event.

 

 

Photographs and/or video will be taken at the event.

By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the committee’s aims.

This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.

If you do not wish to be photographed please inform an event organiser.

Betley Bonfire 2024

Watch the sky light up in the picturesque village of Betley on 2nd November.

The natural amphitheatre of Betley Mere and the surrounding parkland provide the perfect vantage point to enjoy all the attractions, including the ever-popular Stanworths Funfair.

Gates open at 4pm, but this cherished community event fills up quickly, so be sure to arrive early.

The bonfire will be lit at 6pm, with the fireworks display starting around 8pm.
